The purpose of the UTC Sheffield website is to advertise and promote. This website is to keep students and parents or carers up to date with any upcoming events in the college. On this website you can also apply for the college, this function is for people who are looking to join the college. The target audience for this website are students, parents or carers or people who are looking to join the college. This means that it is aimed at both genders ages from 14+ as the college is for 14 to 19 years old. The social grade of this website is Middle class ABC1, I think this because the website is for teens going into free higher education. This website is also online which means that the audience needs some sort of computing device to view this website. However this website is free to visit so that means that anyone can access this website.

B) Visitor Needs
The visitor needs of UTC Sheffield are to be able to apply to the college and also find out more information about upcoming events and news, these needs are met by having a radio button which is in the top right corner that says "Apply now." This is a quick and easy way for the visitors to go through the applying process.
